FAQ
Are the cabins comfortable?
The Aurora Cabins at the Northern Lights Village are a magical way to experience the wintry star-filled sky, while lying comfortably in the warm bed. The laser-heated glass-roof opens up into the northern sky, directly above the bed.
When is the best time to book for Northern Lights viewing?
The best time to book this tour is during the winter months, from late September to early April. This is when Lapland offers optimal conditions for witnessing the Northern Lights.
I’m not an experienced photographer, can I still capture the Northern Lights?
Absolutely! You don’t need to be a professional photographer to capture the Northern Lights. The tours are led by experienced guides. This includes a professional photographer who will assist you in taking the best possible photos of the Aurora. So, whether you’re a novice or a photography enthusiast, you’re in good hands.
What gear should I bring with me?
make sure to bring warm clothing, including thermal layers and winter gear, as Lapland can get quite cold. A stable tripod is your best friend when photographing the Northern Lights. A wide-angle lens and extra batteries as cold temperatures can drain camera batteries faster than usual. A couple of memory cards.
