Itinerary
DAY 1
Arrive at your UK departure airport, ready for a flight to Guatemala. Arrive in Antigua Guatemala, a beautifully preserved city with an abundance of colourful colonial architecture, nestled in the central highlands. Transfer to the hotel and overnight stay in Antigua Guatemala.

DAY 2
Breakfast at the hotel. Today, enjoy a half-day tour of Antigua, considered one of the most beautiful colonial cities of America. Visit La Merced church, Plaza de Armas and the Cathedral. Afterwards, enjoy free time to go shopping and at the indicated time return to the hotel. Overnight stay in Antigua.
DAY 3
Breakfast at the hotel. Seize the day with an early morning visit to Chichicastenango market, located in the central Guatemalan highlands and visit the local Church of Santo Tomas. Transfer to Lake Atitlan and enjoy a panoramic tour of Panajachel. Transfer to the hotel and overnight stay in Atitlan Lake.
DAY 4
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, take a boat ride to the indigenous village of Santiago Atitlán, located between the volcanoes Tolimán and San Pedro. Explore the town and visit the church of Santiago Apóstol. Return to Panajachel and transfer to Guatemala City. Overnight stay in Guatemala City.
DAY 5
After breakfast, set off to visit the Quiriguá Archaeological Park, located on the banks of the Motagua River and discover the tallest stele of the entire Mayan world, as well as zoomorphic figures that date from the classic period of the Mayans. Transfer to Rio Dulce. Overnight stay in Rio Dulce.
DAY 6
Enjoy a nice breakfast at the hotel. Board a boat on the river and head to the town of Livingston, known for its reggae music and coconut bread. Continue up the river and admire the amazing canyon, the panoramic views of the Castle of San Felipe de Lara. Transfer to Flores, situated on an island on Lake Petén Itzá. Overnight stay in Flores.
DAY 7
Breakfast at the hotel and explore the most important Archaeological Site of the Mayan world, Tikal, built during the classic Mayan period with your guide. Enjoy lunch at Tikal and get some time to soak up the atmosphere before heading back to Flores. Overnight stay in Flores.
DAY 8
After Breakfast, drive to Belize City and catch a Water-Taxi to Cayo San Pedro, on the island of Ambergris Caye, admiring the beautiful landscapes throughout your journey. Transfer to your hotel with overnight stay in Cayo San Pedro

DAY 9
A day at your leisure in Cayo San Pedro! Cayo San Pedro is an idyllic haven of white-sand beaches and crystal-clear turquoise waters. Known for its vibrant coral reefs, it promises an unforgettable escape filled with adventure and relaxation. Overnight stay in Cayo San Pedro.
DAY 10
A free day at your leisure – and what a day! The Barrier Reef of Belize, the second-largest in the world, boasts an underwater wonderland of vibrant coral gardens and diverse marine life. This UNESCO World Heritage Site offers unparalleled snorkeling and diving experiences, revealing the breathtaking beauty of its crystal-clear waters and thriving ecosystems. Overnight stay in Cayo San Pedro.
DAY 11
On your final day in Cayo San Pedro, savor the last moments of paradise before taking a scenic water taxi back to Belize City. From there, transfer to Belize airport for your flight back to the UK, carrying unforgettable memories of your luxurious tropical escape.

The local currency is the Guatemalan Quetzal, and the primary language spoken is Spanish. For electrical devices, Guatemala operates on 120V, 60 Hz, so be sure to bring compatible adapters if needed. When traveling to Belize, ensure your passport is valid for at least six months from your date of entry. No visa is required for entry. The local currency is Belize Dollars, though US dollars are widely accepted. English and Kriol are the main languages spoken. Belize uses 110V electricity with Types A, B, and G outlets. Consult your doctor about necessary vaccinations and Zika virus precautions before travel. Belize operates on UTC -6 time zone, so adjust your schedules accordingly. What about the transfers?
– if your departure day is Wednesday or Saturday the order of the itinerary may differ.
– If your destination is in the USA or Canada, or if your selected flights to a different destination have connections in the USA or Canada, it is mandatory to have an ESTA (for USA) or an eTA (for Canada) before travelling.
– The transfer to the Sunbreeze hotel in Belize is not included. If you arrive by water taxi, you can walk to the hotel which is close by. If not, it is possible to take a taxi which costs approximately $10.

Is Wifi Available Everywhere?
In hotels, you can generally expect to have internet access, though we cannot guarantee the speed or consistent availability.
While on the road, it’s unlikely that the vehicle will have WiFi or bathroom facilities, but rest stops will be made for long trips. We recommend purchasing a new SIM card at the airport or using an e-SIM before travel to ensure reliable internet access.

What is the weather like?
When traveling to Guatemala and Belize, you can expect distinct weather patterns.
Guatemala
In Guatemala, the dry season lasts from November to April, offering pleasant temperatures and minimal rainfall, ideal for exploring historical sites and natural landscapes. The wet season, from May to October, brings frequent showers and higher humidity, especially in the lowland regions.
Belize
In Belize, the dry season spans from late November to mid-April, featuring warm, sunny days and comfortable humidity levels, perfect for beach activities and diving. The rainy season, from June to November, includes heavier rainfall and the potential for hurricanes, with the wettest months typically being September and October.

What vaccinations or health precautions should I take before travelling?
It’s important to consult your doctor before traveling to Guatemala or Belize. They can provide you with recommended vaccinations based on your health history and travel plans.
Vaccination
Typically, routine vaccinations such as MMR (measles, mumps, and rubella), diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis, varicella (chickenpox), polio, and your yearly flu shot should be up-to-date. Additionally, vaccinations for Hepatitis A and B, Typhoid, and Rabies might be recommended, depending on your activities and destinations within the countries.
Malaria & Zika
Malaria prevention may be necessary for certain regions, so discuss antimalarial medications with your doctor and bring mosquito repellent sprays with you.
Due to the presence of the Zika virus in both countries, it’s crucial to take measures to prevent mosquito bites, such as using insect repellent and wearing long-sleeved clothing. Pregnant women or those planning to become pregnant should seek specific advice regarding Zika virus risks.
